Some patients with dry eyes benefit from having their tear drainage ducts blocked to increase the volume of tears available to lubricate the front surface of the eye.
To do this, small collagen or silicone plugs are inserted, painlessly, into the duct and left in place. The plugs can give considerable improvement in dry eye symptoms, and can be removed easily in most cases.
If you think that this process would be of benefit to you, then please book a dry eye assessment first for evaluation of the cause of your dry eye symptoms.
