Considering LASER surgery
Published: Friday 11th February 2011
For many years I have been very reluctant to recommend LASER surgery to existing clients. I have had many concerns regarding trust, instrument quality and quality of care with many of the locally available providers. This all changed last year after I met the staff of Accuvision.
Following a number of visits to their North East surgery centre, we are now working in partnership with Accuvision LASER surgeries to offer surgery to our existing and new clients.
Accuvision use a market leading LASER instrument (the Allegretto EyeQ) to produce very smooth, high definition precision controlled corneal surgery. The LASER is twice as fast as other leading instruments yet produced less tissue damage too. This means that they can treat prescriptions out of range of many other instruments. They can also use laser treatment to help manage corneal diseases such as keratoconus.
Their surgeon, Chad Roston, was a Moorfields eye hospital consultant who is a world renowned refractive surgeon (now based in Harley street). The Accuvision company offer surgery in 3 locations across the UK in London, the Midlands and the North East.
The beauty of the relationship is that we offer all the pre-operative care and post operative follow up from our Querido & Davidson practice in Newcastle!
We have no proprietary interest in Accuvision at all & receive no commission, but feel that they offer the best possible chance of success to our clients.
