The management of keratoconus normally progresses through the following stages:
- Wearing spectacles
- Wearing soft or gas permeable contact lenses
Some keratoconus patients go onto the following stages at a later date
- Wearing scleral contact lenses
- Undergoing corneal transplantation surgery
