All our spectacle dispensing services are managed and supervised by Joanne Bradshaw - fully qualified UK Registered Dispensing Optician.

Mr John Davidson - Optometrist
John Davidson and Jan Querido met in 1994. at John's final qualifying examinations in Manchester, where Jan sat as an examiner for John's spectacle dispensing examination. Their instant mutual respect helped them to establish a firm friendship. Jan Querido retired from the practice in December 2005.
John has a diverse Optometric background. He is a faculty member of the Visioncare institute, Prague and has authored and co-authored numerous papers on contact lens related subjects. He has lectured accross the UK and Europe on contact lens related issues. He is working towards a Diploma in contact lens practice with the College of Optometrists, and is also Chair of the North East contact lenses Society. He previously worked as a senior Optometrist at the Sunderland Eye Infirmary.

Miss Sarah Townsend - Optometrist
Sarah Townsend is a close personal friend of John & Julia Davidson. They have known each other as work colleagues since 1995. Sarah joined our team in October 2003, and has a large input into clinical issues of the practice.
Outside of our practice, Sarah has previously worked as the Optometric practitioner at the North Tyneside Rake Lane Diabetic Resource Centre; here she liaised with the RVI's diabetes consultants on behalf of the diabetic resource centre to ensure the correct eye-care for its patients. She was also Optometric Advisor to Newcastle Primary Care Trust. She is currently the North East representative to Council for the College of Optometrists.

Miss Joanne Bradshaw - Dispensing Optician
Joanne qualified as a Dispensing Optician in September 2006. She previously worked at Boots Opticians Newcastle from 1999, and joined us as a pre-registration student in Summer 2006.

Mrs Julia Davidson - Director
Julia and John Davidson have worked as a team since 1996. They have held numerous management roles together since 1996.
Mr. Querido employed Julia in 2002 as a practice manager. Her wealth of management experience helped to refresh the logistical, and service aspects of Mr. Querido's practice, to allow Mr. Querido to focus on the clinical issues of the business.
Julia has attended numerous courses and seminars over the years to develop her skills as a dispenser, clinical assistant, and business manager.
