Miss Sarah Townsend Sarah has been registered since 1990, and trained at UMIST, Manchester.

Her particular areas of interest are specialist contact lenses fitting (certificate in Paragon CRT), Therapeutics (examination in UMIST part 1 Therapeutics course), dry eye management, low vision, nutrition and the eye and diabetic eye disease.

She is a committee member on the North of Tyne Local Optical Committee. With input on local eye care development. In the past Sarah has worked as a secondary grader in Northumberland's retinal screening service, as a Pre-Registration supervisor & Optometric Advisor to Newcastle PCT.
